Mary Martha Gaiennie and Mr. Stephen Richard Yancey III were wed on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the bride’s family home in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Mary Martha wore a beautiful silk organza gown draped in degrade appliqued flowers that featured a stunning tulle neckline with floral petal cap sleeves. Custom designed by Mira Zwillinger for Neiman Marcus, Mary Martha’s train was cathedral length with a stunning array of flower petals.
To complete her ensemble, her cathedral length veil was designed by Vera Wang and trimmed in silk white flower petals. Mary Martha carried an arranged and hand tied bouquet that incorporated beautiful zinnias, which were grown by the bride herself.
As guests entered the ceremony area, they were greeted with a beautiful “meadow aisle”, which created a lush garden atmosphere as they listened to a beautiful string quartet. Following cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres in the courtyard, a beautiful seated dinner complete with wine pairings was served. The dinner and reception took place in an oasis of tall magnolia trees, which created an intimate setting for all the enjoy. Throughout the evening, guests were treated to cake, champagne and live music as they danced the night away over a custom acrylic dance floor and captivating lighting.
